About us
Welcome to Hitha!
The Hyderabad Institute of Theology and Apologetics aims to equip Christian professionals, ministry leaders, church leaders, and laity with an integrated biblical worldview for effective service in the Church and the marketplace.
We are committed to excellence in our theological education and faith formation. Christian leaders are challenged not only to master knowledge but also to thrive in their relationships and the practical expression of faith Whether it’s a ministry in a local church, evangelizing colleagues in your office, or leading a Christian organization, you’ll receive the training necessary to pursue your calling with competence, wisdom, and deep passion for the people you serve HITHA aims to create transformational learning strategies that harmonize academic rigor, spiritual disciplines, personal mentoring, marketplace evangelism competence, and contextual-based learning.
A compelling vision sprouted in the hearts of three individuals – a couple and a visionary leader – all deeply invested in empowering Christians within the professional realm. Sudhakar and Santha Kumari Mondithoka, graduates of Talbot School of Theology, felt called to bridge the gap. Despite thriving secular careers spanning over a decade, their passion for ministry remained strong. Their extensive experience with the Union of Evangelical Students of India and Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) fueled a desire to equip fellow professionals. Their God-planted vision is to offer world-class theological and apologetics training, conveniently priced and scheduled, allowing Christians to excel in both their faith and professional lives. Sharing a similar burden was Dr. Augustine Pagolu. Armed with a formidable theological background from prestigious institutions like UESI, SIBS, SAIACS, and BGST, he yearned for collaborators in India who shared his vision.

Providentially, their paths converged – a divine orchestration that unfolded through extensive consultations with dedicated Christians. This collaborative spirit culminated in the launch of the Hyderabad Institute of Theology and Apologetics (HITHA) in July 2009, with an inaugural class of 45 students. Inspired by Ephesians 4:11-13, HITHA’s mission is clear: to equip all Christians, particularly marketplace professionals, with transformative theological and apologetic training, empowering them for exceptional service.

Our Initiatives – Hitha Vakya Vanitha
Hitha Vakya Vanitha (HVV) is an offshoot of the Hyderabad Institute of Theology and Apologetics (HITHA). This is a network of theologically trained women Alumni of HITHA, who share a common vision for biblical womanhood, and who are passionate about significantly contributing to their homes, local churches, and the larger body of Christ. HVV cultivates a vibrant community where women can flourish in their faith. HVV provides platforms for women to demonstrate and refine their ministry skills, fostering confidence and growth.
HVV honors and celebrates womanhood, and equips women to be effective role models. It encourages women to build strong marriages, families, and raise children for God’s purposes, and release them for His glory. HVV believes that to transpire meaningful biblical transformation, it is essential to provide platforms for women to network, nurture friendships, share knowledge, develop ministry skills, and spur each other with the Scriptures.
To this end, HVV employs a diverse range of methods including online teachings, talk shows, sermons, devotions, expositions, testimonials, and discussions on current trends related to women on social media platforms. This multifaceted approach allows HVV to amplify distinct biblical women’s perspectives, keeping Christian women informed about the emerging cultural and media trends that pose a threat to the fabric of Christian homes, churches, and communities.
By facilitating the holistic growth of Christian women, HVV endeavors to empower them to thrive in their relationship with God, to be readers and doers of the Word, and to model biblical womanhood and motherhood in their respective contexts.
